Dr. David Barlas is a board-certified emergency medicine physician with Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health. He has 35 years of experience, and his expertise includes:

- Acute injuries and illnesses
Dr. Barlas believes that listening to his patients is one of the most important factors in understanding their health issues and creating treatment plans.
Dr. Barlas’ Training
Dr. Barlas earned a bachelor’s degree in biology at the City University of New York —Brooklyn College, graduating summa cum laude. He received his medical degree from the State University of New York Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn, where he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Dr. Barlas completed an emergency medicine residency at the State University of New York Stony Brook University.

Dr. Barlas is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine, and he is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
His research has been published in numerous peer-reviewed medical journals, and he serves as associate editor of the Annals of Emergency Medicine.
Outside of work, Dr. Barlas enjoys spending time with family and friends, tennis, cycling, grilling and traveling.

Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
- They may be a researcher or type of provider that does not see patients.
- They may practice in a specialty or office that has not yet implemented the specified surveys used for these ratings.
