Dove Hammons is a certified physician assistant (PA-C) at Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute. With her specialty in orthopedic surgery, Dove is able to:
- Assist surgeons during operations
- Conduct pre- and post-operation evaluations
- Suture patients
- Performing join injections and aspirations
- Performing fracture reductions

Dove’s Training
Dove earned her master of physician assistant studies (MPAS) from the University of Florida College in Medicine in Gainesville. She also graduated cum laude when she earned her bachelor’s in exercise sports science from Texas State University in San Marcos.
As a PA-C, Dove’s clinical background includes experience in neurosurgery working in complex spinal surgery and cranial surgery. Her experience includes surgical and medical management of post-operative as well as criticallly ill patients. In the outpatient setting, she has managed both adult and pediatric patients.
About Dove
Dove is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She has spent time volunteering to provide medical services to underserved communities in Gainesville and in Mexico.
Outside of work, she enjoys going for hikes with her dog, trying new foods from different cultures and spending time with her loved ones.
