Jeffrey Laman, MD, OMD, is a family medicine physician with Orlando Health Physician Associates.
Family Medicine
He provides patient-specific care along with education and counseling about lifestyle choices. From a family medicine perspective, he offers:
- Adult, senior and child preventative health screenings
- Diagnostic testing
- Immunizations
- Management of chronic conditions and complex diseases
- Treatment of acute illnesses and injuries
- Treatment of minor ailments
- Joint, trigger point, and other injections
- Skin procedures including cryotherapy and skin biopsies
- Point-of-Care ultrasound
- Nexplanon
Dr. Laman helps patients improve their quality of life and reduce pain.
Dr. Laman’s Training
He attended the University of Science, Arts and Technology in Montserrat, British West Indies. Here Dr. Laman earned three degrees: Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Oriental Medicine (OMD) and Master of Biology/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), graduating valedictorian of his class. He completed his residency in family and community medicine at the Western Michigan University Homer Stryker MD School of Medicine in Kalamazoo.
During his residency, he completed a certificate in Point-of-Care ultrasound, an imaging modality used to quickly assess and help determine the underlying cause of illness.
About Dr. Laman
After his training, Dr. Laman returned to his hometown of Clermont, Florida. Outside of the office, he is the traditional family man. He is blessed to have a wonderful wife, Becky, and son, Charlie. His favorite activities are on and in the water and include paddle boarding, wakeboarding, jet-skiing, boating, fishing, and scuba diving. He also enjoys going regularly with his family to Disney, SeaWorld, Universal Studios, and the other attractions in the Central Florida area.
Dr. Laman is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, American Medical Association, and American Geriatrics Society. His work has appeared in peer-reviewed publications.
