Bio
J. Gene Chen MD, MHS is a board-certified pediatric critical care medicine physician with Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children Pediatric Critical Care Services. He also serves as the Program Director for the Pediatric Residency at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. He is an Associate Professor at the Florida State University College of Medicine.
Dr. Chen attended medical school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and conducted his pediatric internship and residency at Washington University / St. Louis Children's Hospital. He completed his pediatric critical care fellowship training as well as a Masters in Health Sciences in Clinical Research at Duke University Medical Center.
Dr. Chen's academic interests include medical education, research methodology, teaching evidence-based medicine, quality improvement, rapid response systems, and patient safety.
