Judith Simms-Cendan, MD
Judith Simms-Cendan, MD, graduated from the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, Fla., and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Florida College of Medicine in 1995. After finishing her residency, Dr. Simms-Cendan began a pediatric adolescent gynecology clinic at the University of Florida.
In 2010, Dr. Simms-Cendan moved to Orlando, Fla., to join the University of Central Florida College of Medicine faculty and Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Simms-Cendan has been a part of the Arnold Palmer Hospital Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology specialty practice since 2010. She enjoys caring for a wide range of concerns of girls and teens such as irregular, heavy or painful menses, acne and pelvic pain.
Dr. Simms-Cendan evaluates and treats pediatric gynecologic disorders such as vaginitis, pelvic pain and congenital anomalies. She is experienced in managing endocrine disorders such as polycystic ovary syndrome. She provides contraception for adolescent girls with complicated medical problems such as lupus and autoimmune disorders, Crohn’s disease, bleeding disorders and diabetes. Dr. Simms-Cendan also provides menstrual cycle control options to children with special needs such as cerebral palsy and Down Syndrome.
An experienced laparoscopic surgeon, Dr. Simms-Cendan also treats endometriosis and ovarian cysts. She is passionate about education in her specialty and is a board member for the North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology.
