Bio
Dr. Laith Al-Balbissi is a board-certified vascular and general surgeon with the Orlando Health Heart and Vascular Institute. His areas of expertise include:
- Carotid disease including open and minimally invasive TCAR surgery
- Venous disease, thrombosis, and May Thurner syndrome
- End stage renal disease patients including both peritoneal and hemodialysis patients
- Minimally invasive Endo vascular procedures for limb salvage
- Aortic disease
Dr. Al-Balbissi’s Training
Dr. Al-Balbissi received his medical training from the University of Jordan College of Medicine in Amman. He completed a general surgery residency at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City and a vascular and endovascular surgery fellowship at the Jobst Vascular Institute in Toledo, Ohio.
About Dr. Al-Balbissi
Dr. Al-Balbissi also has expertise in vascular sonography and received certification as a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI). He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Surgery. His other professional memberships include the Society of Vascular Surgery and Midwestern Vascular Surgical Society.
Dr. Al-Balbissi is interested in clinical research and has participated in numerous studies.
He is fluent in English and Arabic.

Why do some Orlando Health physicians not have a patient experience rating?
The Patient Satisfaction Rating is an average of all responses to the care provider related questions, shown above, from our nationally-recognized Press-Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
- They may be a researcher or type of provider that does not see patients.
