Bio
Dr. Lauren Garelik is a physical medicine and rehabilitation physician with the Orlando Health Neuroscience Institute and Orlando Health Advanced Rehabilitation Institute. She works with patients to recover from functional limitations caused by:
- Traumatic brain injury (concussion)
- Stroke
- Spinal cord injury
- Nerve damage
- Musculoskeletal injury
- Joint pain
- Spasticity
Dr. Garelik believes that understanding her patients’ social, mental and physical well-being enables her to provide the best possible care. Her goal is to design a personalized rehabilitation plan for each patient that promotes functional recovery.
Dr. Garelik’s Training
She received her bachelor’s degree in human biology from Michigan State University in East Lansing, graduating with honors. Dr. Garelik earned her degree in osteopathic medicine from Michigan State’s College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan, and served as chief resident in her final year.
About Dr. Garelik
She is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, American Osteopathic Association and Sigma Sigma Phi Honorary Osteopathic Service Fraternity.
Outside of work, Dr. Garelik enjoys golf, traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends.

Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
- They may be a researcher or type of provider that does not see patients.
- They may practice in a specialty or office that has not yet implemented the specified surveys used for these ratings.
