Lori Garcia is a dual board-certified registered radiologist assistant (RRA) and radiology practitioner assistant with Orlando Health Medical Group Radiology. She has cared for patients at hospitals and imaging centers since 2004. Under the supervision of a radiologist, Lori is able to:
- Observe and assess patients
- Provide patient education
- Perform biopsies
- Place catheters
- Conduct barium studies
- Provide steroid injections
- Perform paracentesis and thoracentesis
- Perform other image-guided procedures
Lori believes in treating patients as if they are family and enjoys being able to provide relief for those who are in pain or suffering.
Lori’s Training
Lori earned her bachelor’s degree in radiological sciences from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah.
About Lori
Lori is dual board-certified as an RRA with the Certification Board for Radiology Practitioner Assistants and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
She is affiliated with the National Society of Radiology Practitioner Assistants, American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and Academy for Radiology Physician Extenders, among other medical organizations.
Outside of work, Lori enjoys spending time with her children and her cane corso mastiff and watching the Tampa Bay Rays.
