Marissa LaHart is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) with Orlando Health Cancer Institute Breast Care and Gynecologic Cancer Center. She has worked in women’s health for more than 15 years and specializes in breast surgical oncology. Her expertise includes:

  • Breast lumps, pain, nipple discharge or abnormalities
  • Risk assessment for those with family history or genetic predisposition
  • Management of benign breast conditions
  • Image-guided needle aspiration of cysts and fluid collections
  • Incision and drainage of abscesses

After caring for her mother during her battle with breast cancer, Marissa believes it is important to treat her patients holistically. She provides compassionate, evidence-based medicine in a collaborative environment where her patients feel heard, respected and empowered.

Marissa’s Training

Marissa earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing at LaSalle University in Philadelphia, where she was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, an international honor society of nurses. She received her Master of Science in nursing (MSN) on the women’s health nurse practitioner track from Drexel University in Philadelphia.

Marissa is certified as a women’s health nurse practitioner by the National Certification Corporation, and she is licensed as an APRN and registered nurse in Florida.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and running.
