Dr. Michael Greene is a board-certified thoracic surgeon with Orlando Health Medical Group Cardiothoracic Surgery. His specialties include:

Dr. Greene’s Training
Dr. Greene received his medical degree from the University of Missouri in Columbia and completed his surgical residency at the University of Louisville in Kentucky. His training continued with a cardiothoracic surgery residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville, where he was recognized for helping perform the state's first neonatal heart transplant in 1993 and first pediatric double-lung transplant in 1994.
About Dr. Greene
Dr. Greene is a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, American College of Cardiology and American College of Surgeons. He is board certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery and in thoracic and cardiac surgery by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.
His professional memberships include Mensa, the American College of Surgeons Oncology Group and American College of Cardiology.
Dr. Greene’s work has appeared in numerous peer-reviewed journals, and he has written book chapters about pediatric cardiac surgery. He has served as an attending surgeon, surgical director of a heart institute and assistant professor of surgery. Dr. Greene also has volunteered as a coordinator and physician for medical mission trips to Haiti.
Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, kitesurfing and mountain biking.
