Nicole Darrough is a senior nurse practitioner in radiation oncology at the Orlando Health Cancer Institute, coordinating care for thyroid cancer patients undergoing radiation treatment. She follows her patients very closely throughout the radiation process, managing their care and any complications.
She joined Orlando Heath in 2012, working in head and neck surgical oncology at the Orlando Health Cancer Institute. Her clinical interests include radiation oncology with a special focus on thyroid and head and neck oncology patients.
Nicole’s Training
Nicole graduated with a bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Florida (UF) in Gainesville and began her career as a registered nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville. After earning her master of science in nursing (MSN), also from UF, she worked as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) in a neurology and pain management practice in New York.

She is a member of the Florida Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Thyroid Association. Nicole is credentialed through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
