Dr. Samer Khaled is a board-certified and fellowship-trained physician specializing in hematology and oncology with the Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy program at the Orlando Health Cancer Institute. His services include:

  • Bone marrow transplants (autologous, allogeneic, cord blood and haploidentical)
  • Bispecific antibodies
  • CAR-T cell therapy
  • Acute leukemia and myelodysplastic syndrome treatment
  • Cellular therapy lab (on-site collection facility and cell manipulation)
  • Cell collection and manipulation for the treatment of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, graft versus host disease and lung transplant rejection
  • Extracorporeal photopheresis
  • Clinical trials

Dr. Khaled believes that each patient should be treated with respect and dignity while  having their needs and fears recognized. He encourages patients to participate in their treatments and prioritizes compassion in their care. Dr. Khaled also believes that healing is a multidimensional endeavor extending beyond physical treatment to nurturing the soul.

Dr. Khaled’s Training

Dr. Khaled received his medical training at Cairo University in Egypt. He completed an internal medicine residency at The Brooklyn Hospital Center in New York, where he served as chief resident in his final year. Dr. Khaled also completed a hematology and oncology fellowship at The Brooklyn Hospital Center and a bone marrow transplant fellowship at City of Hope in Duarte, California.

About Dr. Khaled

Dr. Khaled is certified in hematology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a physician scientist and has been the principal investigator in numerous clinical trials. His research has been published extensively in peer-reviewed publications.

He previously served as medical director of an oncology program in Los Angeles as well as director of the fellowship program.

Outside of work, Dr. Khaled enjoys reading and meditating. He is fluent in English and Arabic.
