Dr. Shawn McCullough is a primary care physician at Orlando Health Physician Associates. Board certified in internal medicine, he focuses on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illnesses and diseases and has special interest in:
- Geriatric medicine
- Addiction medicine
- LGBTQIA health
Dr. McCullough strives to be as understanding of patients’ needs as possible in a nonjudgmental, productive manner. He finds building personal, long-lasting relationships with patients to be one of the most rewarding parts about being a doctor.
Dr. McCullough’s Training
Dr. McCullough received his bachelor’s degree in environmental studies at Florida State University (FSU) in Tallahassee, graduating magna cum laude. He went on to earn his medical degree from the FSU College of Medicine and completed an internal medicine residency, primary care track, at Alameda Health System Highland Hospital in Oakland, California.
About Dr. McCullough
He has been a hospice volunteer and in medical school led and organized student- and faculty-run presentations on topics concerning LGBT health. Dr. McCullough is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a member of the Society of General Internal Medicine and GLMA Health Professionals Advancing LGBTQ Equality.
Outside of work, Dr. McCullough enjoys movies, traveling, trying new restaurants and spending time with friends.
