  • Emergency Transfer Center

    Our Emergency Transfer Center facilitates physician-to-physician referrals for patients that require emergency evaluation and/or admission into one of our hospitals. With the many unique specialties that are offered at our Orlando Health facilities, our Emergency Transfer Center is a central point of contact for outside hospitals to call and expedite the patient's arrival to the best care possible.

    Our Air Care Team has an average of 20 years of experience. Even under stressful flight circumstances, excellent clinical care and safety are the standards for our Air Care Team. The Air Care Team is recognized for its role in public and regulatory advocacy for the improvement of trauma care at the local and national levels. They have memberships and active participation in such organizations as the Association of Air Medical Services, Air and Surface Nurses Transport Association, and the International.

  • Center for Aging and Memory Disorder Clinic

    We are one of seventeen State of Florida designated Memory Disorder Clinics supported by the Department of Elder Affairs through the Alzheimer’s Disease Initiative. The Orlando Health Center for Aging and Memory Disorder Clinic is designed to diagnose the underlying causes of memory loss and dedicated to meeting the changing needs of patients, caregivers, and family members.

  • Other Services

    The Center for Aging clinical team maintains a standard practice of talking with patients and caregivers about driving habits and driving safety. This sometimes opens the door to difficult discussions about a very sensitive subject. If further assessment of driving skills is warranted, patients are referred for a driving evaluation.

  • Patient Information

    On the first visit, your medical records will be reviewed, and your medical history will be discussed. A comprehensive medical and psychosocial assessment will be completed by the physician and licensed clinical social worker. The physician will make recommendations for further testing and/or referrals that are needed for your care. A personalized plan of care will be created with you and your caregiver. The licensed clinical social worker will meet with you to further discuss your needs and provide you with community resources.

This fellowship will provide a significant advantage in your career transition into becoming a Critical Care APP. It will equip the fellow with considerable experience, training, and development of skills and knowledge that will last through your entire career. It will also allow opportunities for networking and exposure, which otherwise would be hard to replicate. The fellowship essentially functions as a yearlong job interview, not only with the critical care team, but also with the different specialty rotations. If the fellow decides to stay with Orlando Health after successful completion of the program, the fellowship effectively becomes a one-year on-boarding process, jump-starting your transition into a successful career.

  • Program Requirements

    Fellows will be required to complete a pre- and post-test for each clinical rotation with a minimum passing score to complete the program. Completion of a structured, self-learning curriculum is also required. Attendance will be required at regularly scheduled lectures, conferences, and grand rounds, depending upon the clinical rotation schedule. Active participation in these activities is required.
