Orlando Health Foundation Introduces Honor a Caregiver Program
The Orlando Health Foundation is launching a new program, which gives our
patients and families a unique way of recognizing a team member in honor of the
care they have received. Through Honor a Caregiver, patients and their family
members will have the opportunity to make a charitable gift and write a note of
gratitude to their caregiver.
When a patient or family member makes a
gift in honor of a team member’s care, a Foundation representative will visit
the team member’s unit to celebrate the individual, share the patient’s
comments, and present the team member with a special “Honor a Caregiver” pin.
Team members recognized as part of the Honor a Caregiver program will also be
included in a drawing of prizes.
You can help spread word of this
exciting program. If a patient or patient’s family member asks how they can
thank you, please direct them to the Orlando Health Foundation’s Honor a
Caregiver website at orlandohealth.com/honoracaregiver where
they can make a charitable gift in your honor.
Honor a Caregiver cards
with information on how patients and their family members can make a gift in
honor of their care will be delivered to units over the next few months. Cards
are also available for ordering at any time on BrandSource.
Beginning
in January, team members will see the first advertisements for the Honor a
Caregiver program at ORMC, UF Health Cancer Center – Orlando Health, and the
Orlando Health Heart & Vascular Institute. Stay tuned for the rollout of advertisements at
all sites in the coming months.
