Team Members from Orlando Health Heart & Vascular Institute Present at Safety Workshop

The Orlando Health Heart & Vascular Institute supported the Alliance of Central Florida Safety's Safety Day 2019 by offering a vendor booth with handouts on heart health/early heart attack care and fact sheets on hands-only CPR.

OHHI cardiologist electrophysiologist Dr. Filart was a featured speaker, presenting “The Amazing Heart and How to Restart it if it Ever Stops,” and two patients told their survivor CPR stories, who were taken to an Orlando Health hospital and received the best care possible.

Additional presenters included Alisha Stokes, Corporate Chest Pain Coordinator, Kim Cleek, ORMC ED Coordinator, Jennifer Godoi, South Lake Hospital Chest Pain Coordinator, Kristen Romano, South Seminole Hospital Chest Pain/HF Coordinator, and Erin Lasota, ORMC Chest Pain Coordinator.

"With nearly 400 people in attendance from safety industries all over Central Florida, the event was a huge success," Alisha said.
