Overview

Anesthesiology is a specialized branch of medicine that uses drugs or other agents to cause the body to not feel pain. Anesthesiology may also be defined as continuity of patient care involving preoperative evaluation, intraoperative and postoperative care, and the management of systems and personnel that support these activities. Orlando Health has board certified anesthesiologists in-house, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for surgery, emergencies and obstetrical analgesia and anesthesia.
