Overview
Orlando Health Digestive Health Institute Center for Advanced Endoscopy, Research and Education (CARE) is pleased to invite you to experience Florida Live EUS 2023, the premier global event in endoscopic ultrasound (EUS).
This biennial symposium is designed to provide participants a comprehensive education in endosonography. The meeting will have eight components – live demonstrations, session on future innovations, state-of-the-art lectures, breakfast sessions, interactive luncheon session, industry-sponsored symposiums, a self-assessment, and hands-on training. To maximize the educational experience and ensure optimal procedural outcomes, a major focus at live demonstrations will be to teach critical procedural steps and technical nuances.
The live demonstrations have been organized into sections that incorporate systematic diagnostic examinations adopting the station-based approach including: pancreatic cyst assessment encompassing varied pathology, tissue acquisition using third-generation FNB needles coupled with evidence-based sampling maneuvers, interventional procedures showcasing best-of-class techniques in anastomosis, ductal and gallbladder drainage, tumor ablation and palliation in advanced malignancy, endo-hepatology with a focus on portal pressure measurements and variceal obliteration, innovations showcasing the latest technology and techniques, and a cytopathology session focusing on the importance of specimen collection and processing in the era of precision medicine.
Didactic lectures will cover hot topics that will be followed by a lively Q&A session. The industry-sponsored luncheon and evening symposiums will incorporate interesting cases which will be deliberated by faculty at panel discussions with active participation of all delegates via the use of a dedicated mobile app. Fourteen breakfast sessions have been organized where delegates can meet with faculty in an informal small group setting and learn firsthand from the experts. To support endosonographers establishing a new practice and for institutions starting a new program, a special session on building and growing an EUS practice will be incorporated. A self-assessment examination will be conducted by the course organizers to enable delegates to evaluate their knowledge base in diagnostic and interventional EUS.
On the final day of the symposium a hands-on workshop will be organized where delegates can learn the latest techniques and innovations in tissue acquisition, EUS-related cytopathology and procedural interventions. All participating delegates will receive a syllabus book containing critical information relevant to the practice of EUS.
We sincerely hope that you will find Florida Live EUS 2023 to be of the highest educational value, as well as an enjoyable and unparalleled experience.
Come join us at the premier global event in EUS in Orlando, where the magic of endoscopy begins!
