If you’ve cut your forearm, wrist, palm or finger and are unable to extend your finger, you may have severed your extensor tendon. Our orthopedic doctors will assess your injury and check your hand for damage to your nerves or blood vessels. Our goal is to repair your injury so you can regain motion and strength in your finger.
Certain types of flexor tendon cuts require specific types of surgery that our board-certified orthopedic surgeons are skilled in performing. We can repair your tendon and treat any injuries you might have to the surrounding tissues, nerves and blood vessels. Your follow-up treatment may include physical therapy to stretch and strengthen your finger so you can regain full function.
