Overview of Infectious Disease

We serve as a leader in the community in epidemiology and Infection Control and Prevention.

Infectious diseases can be complex, like hepatitis or AIDS, or can be simple in nature, like the flu. Infectious diseases are often caused by microscopic organisms or bacteria and are spread relatively easily. Orlando Health employs specialists in infectious diseases to diagnose and treat these conditions and help prevent the spread of them throughout the community. Services are provided on an inpatient and outpatient basis through physician consultation. Additionally, Orlando Health serves as a leader in the community in epidemiology and Infection Control and Prevention.
