At Orlando Health ORMC Institute for Advanced Rehabilitation, we emphasize the importance of community reentry. Encouraging patients to return to their roles in society is an important part of rehabilitation and recovery. Support groups facilitated by our therapists and staff are available for patients and their families. The groups are designed for the patients to interact with others who have similar diagnosis to help them learn, share and cope. Our patients are encouraged to participate in monthly activities with The Greater Orlando Spinal Cord Injury Network, a group with a mission to promote community reintegration. These activities may include dinner, bowling, fishing or picnics.
