Overview of Laser Surgery

Laser surgery is most commonly used for the removal of tumors, preventing blood loss by sealing off small blood vessels, treat skin conditions, some gynecologic conditions and eye surgery.

Laser surgery uses special light beams instead of instruments to perform a procedure. There are several types of lasers. Each one works differently and is used for different treatment options. Laser light can be delivered either continuously or intermittently. The most common use of laser surgery is for the removal of tumors, preventing blood loss by sealing off small blood vessels, treat skin conditions, some gynecologic conditions and eye surgery.
