Our orthopedists will develop personalized treatment, pain management and rehabilitation plans for your Legg-Calve-Perthes Disease, a hip disease that develops when blood flow to part of the hip joint temporarily stops.
We may use X-rays and an MRI scan to confirm your diagnosis. We then will prescribe anti-inflammatory and pain medicine and put you in a cast, brace or crutches to ensure your hip retains its normal shape and range of motion. Orthopedic surgery to lengthen the groin muscle or correct bone deformities may be the best treatment option for more advanced cases.
