Request an Appointment with an Orlando Health Physician

If you’ve jammed your finger in a fall or while playing sports, you need prompt assessment and treatment by our orthopedic and sports medicine doctors. Our goal is to help you regain full motion and strength in your finger so you can return to the activities you enjoy.

Depending on the severity of your tear, we may recommend that you wear a finger splint for several weeks. We may recommend surgery if your tendon is severed or a bone fragment is displaced, or if splinting does not improve your condition. When your tendon has healed, we may prescribe physical therapy to help you regain full finger motion and strength.
