Muscle invasive bladder cancer has advanced to the muscle in the bladder wall. It is more likely to spread within the body than other forms of bladder cancer. We intend to give you compassionate and quality care, so we’ll create a treatment plan focused on sparing as much of the bladder as possible.

For advanced stages, surgery may be combined with chemotherapy and radiation. Many cases of this type of cancer will require chemotherapy and surgery to remove parts of or the entire bladder. We also may use radiation therapy to target specific areas. Our doctors will discuss options for bladder reconstruction with you. The goal of this phase of our treatment will be to improve or restore your urinary and sexual function after surgery.
