Request an Appointment with an Orlando Health Physician

Our goal is to help your tendinitis, which is often called jumper’s knee, heal without surgery. Our sports medicine and orthopedic doctors, along with physical therapists, will develop a personalized plan to reduce the pain and swelling in your knee.

Our treatment will depend on the severity of your symptoms. Our physical therapists may use ice, massage, electrical stimulation and ultrasound to control your pain and swelling, along with anti-inflammatory medications and a brace or crutches. Gradually, we may add exercises to strengthen your quadriceps muscles. If conservative treatment fails or you have advanced tendon damage we may recommend surgery.
