Surgery is the most common treatment for rectal cancer, and our surgeons specialize in techniques that may reduce your pain and shorten recovery time.
Our surgeons will work to preserve the sphincter muscles that close the anus, preserving function. If the cancer has spread to other parts of your body, our multidisciplinary oncology team may recommend chemotherapy, radiation therapy or a combination of both. We may use advanced heated chemotherapy, depending on the location and type of tumor.
