The rotator cuff is a group of tendons and muscles that surround the shoulder joint. A rotator cuff injury involves dull pain, but early treatment can prevent symptoms from getting worse. Our orthopedic and sports medicine doctors will diagnose the extent and cause of your injury and help you resume your normal routine as soon as possible.

Depending on the severity of your injury, we may prescribe anti-inflammatory medication for your pain and a sling or brace to stabilize your shoulder. Physical therapy can strengthen your shoulder, help it heal and prevent further damage. We also may suggest a cortisone injection to reduce your inflammation. If you have a torn ligament or muscle, arthroscopic surgery could be the best treatment option.
