Depending on your condition, we may recommend specialized balloon angioplasty, which clears heart valve blockage by expanding a balloon in your artery to clear clogging that inhibits blood flow and results in chest pain, or angina.
Overview
During surgery, our expert cardiovascular team will insert a catheter, or thin tube, into your artery to the point of blockage. We then will expand a balloon at the tip of the catheter to compress the clog against your artery wall. A stent, or mesh tube, will be inserted at that same to keep the artery open.
