Vaginal cancer usually occurs in the lining of the vagina, and typically shows few symptoms, many of which may be mistaken for other conditions. It rarely begins in the vagina but can spread there from other parts in the body.

Our gynecologic oncology team will diagnose your cancer, determine its spread, and develop a treatment plan after examining your cells and the results of ultrasound, MRI, and other scans. Our surgeons may perform video-assisted laparoscopic, vaginal, and robotic thoracic surgery and recommend chemotherapy, radiation, hormone therapy, complementary therapies and reconstructive surgery.
