Orlando Health: Extraordinary Doctors. Extraordinary Care.

The Best Doctors Deserve the Best Support

At Orlando Health, our team members are truly our most valuable asset. Our doctors are trusted by our patients as well as health professionals around the globe – from U.S. News & World Report and Sirius Radio interviews to the Wall Street Journal and local news stations, the Orlando Health team is busy sharing knowledge and making an impact.

That’s why we strive to provide positive and nurturing environment for every Orlando Health team member. Orlando Health has focused our efforts to “Become the Best Place to Work” as part of our Strategic Initiatives. Each day, we work to promote a culture of compassion and excellence. That’s why our organization has a 100-year history of caring for our community.

We encourage our team members to never stop learning. Orlando Health provides ongoing leadership training and development for all levels of the organization and emphasizes the importance of recognizing team members for the work they do through use of an interactive recognition platform.

We also strive to engage our staff and allow them to have their voice heard. Team members are encouraged to attend meetings where Orlando Health CEO & COO provide strategic plan updates, as well as offer opportunity for questions and discussion. Our multidiscipline, enterprise-wide Team Member Advisory Council meets monthly with leadership to serve as a sounding board for organizational topics affecting team members and to help identify solutions to the challenges that face the organization.

The Best Patients Deserve the Best Care

The most important thing Orlando Health team members do is provide exceptional care for our patients. We want to provide every patient with an extraordinary healthcare experience every time and are constantly working to make Orlando Health even better.

Each month our Service Steering Committee works on our strategies to become one of the top 10% of hospitals in the nation for patient experience. Due to this dedication, we’ve raised the percent of patients rating Orlando Health as 9 or 10 (the highest) to the HCAHPS (Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems) Hospital Rating question by nearly 6 percent over the last four years. The HCAHPS Survey is the first national, standardized and publicly reported survey of patient care perceptions.

These efforts are in addition to the implementation of our Right Care Initiative which aims to provide the right care for every patient, every time, by using data-supported treatment guidelines. The Right Care Initiative has led to significant reduction in in-hospital patient stays in just six months for the initial patient-diagnosis groups. We look forward to continuing to expand the effort to additional diagnosis groups, as well as women’s and children’s specific care.
