Orlando Health Foundation Establishes the Nightingale Nursing Fund

To recognize and honor the profession of nursing at Orlando Health, the Orlando Health Foundation has established the Nightingale Nursing Fund. Gifts to the Nightingale Nursing Fund will help support a variety of needs in the field of nursing at Orlando Health, including professional development through lectures and conferences, nursing research studies and innovative practice models.

The fund is named in honor of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing, who worked tirelessly throughout the mid-to-late 1800s to improve health care and prevent disease. In 1860, her nursing school helped lay the foundation for the profession of nursing.

You are invited to make a gift in honor of a nurse who has impacted your life or cared for a member of your family. As Anne Peach, our chief nursing officer, embarks on her retirement, you may want to take this opportunity to make a donation to honor the nursing profession at Orlando Health.

The Nightingale Nursing Fund was created to honor and respect the heroic work of nurses, caring for Central Florida’s patients and their families.
