Hridaya Raj (pronounced reed-ay rahj), a baby boy, is the 100,000th baby born at Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies.

Parents, Harish Raj Kumar and Denika Raj, welcomed the new 7-pound, 6-ounce bundle of joy into their family on September 19, 2013, at 1:52 pm. Mother and baby are healthy and resting comfortably at the hospital. Hridaya’s name means "heart” in Sanskrit. He is the first boy on either side of the family and is receiving overwhelming greetings and blessings from friends and relatives both home and abroad.

The birth marks a milestone for Winnie Palmer Hospital, which has become an international leader in obstetric and gynecologic care. The hospital opened in May 2006, and annually ranks as one of the busiest labor and delivery hospitals in the country. More than 13,000 babies are expected to be born there every year.

Hridaya, his proud parents, and two sisters will be in the hospital a couple of days and are looking forward to introducing their baby boy to the rest of their family.
