Bio
Robert Evans Heithaus, MD is a Vascular and Interventional Radiologist with Medical Center Radiology Group (MCRG). Dr Heithaus specializes in multiple disorders of the liver, kidney, gastrointestinal tract, spine, and blood vessels. He offers a wide range of minimally invasive procedures. Dr Heithaus is passionate about oncology and currently offers services to oncology patients including minimally invasive treatment of liver and kidney cancers.
Dr Heithaus graduated magna cum laude from the University of Mississippi. He received his medical school training at the University of South Florida where he was a graduate of the research and scholarly concentration program. He completed his diagnostic radiology training at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas Texas where he served as chief resident. He received his subspecialty fellowship training at the University of Florida at Shands Hospital in Gainesville.
Dr Heithaus has received numerous research awards including the Roentgen Research Award from the Radiology Society of North America. He has also published several text book chapters as well as multiple articles in peer review journals including the New England Journal of Medicine and the Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology.
Dr Heithaus also served for 8 years in the United States Army, and he proudly cares for active military and veterans. He looks forward to finding minimally invasive alternatives to help his patients.
