As a cardiovascular trained Advanced Practice Provider (APP) fellow, you will be able to continue your clinical education with on-the-job training at Orlando Health Heart and Vascular Institute (OHHVI). We specialize in cardiology, interventional cardiology, advanced heart failure, electrophysiology, structural heart disease, vascular surgery, and cardiothoracic surgery.
The Orlando Health Heart and Vascular Institute APP Fellowship prepares postgraduates to utilize evidence-based practice and develop specialized skills to care for chronic and acutely ill cardiovascular patients. During this 12-month APP Fellowship you will have extensive hands-on training in all subspecialties of cardiovascular medicine. A combination of didactic lecture series, simulation labs, direct patient care experience and self-guided learning will provide a solid educational basis for your clinical practice and development. Orlando Health is a teaching facility and as a participant within the postgraduate APP fellowship program, you will be working closely with not only physicians and advanced practice providers but also with cardiovascular physician fellows, and physician residents.
