Program Overview

The Postgraduate APP Cardiovascular Fellowship is 12-months of clinical practice-based experience along with didactic learning of cardiovascular care. It is based in our level one trauma center, comprehensive stroke center and heart care center with rotations in all areas of cardiovascular medicine including electrophysiology, advanced heart failure, structural heart, interventional cardiology, vascular and cardiovascular surgery. We aim to produce highly skilled and competent cardiovascular providers who can function in any environment. There will be opportunities to participate in quality projects, poster presentations, lectures, and research opportunities.

Clinical Experience

  • Overview
    • Wide variety of complex patient cases at a comprehensive heart care center, level one trauma center and stroke center
    • Clinical experiences in multiple subspecialities across many of the Orlando Health campuses
    • Inpatient and Outpatient cardiovascular training
    • Inter-personal learning with a team based approach
    • Case presentations
    • Average of 45-50 clinical hours weekly (90-100 hours biweekly)
