As of August 16, 2021, Orlando Health has centralized and standardized the medical professional credentialing process with the formation of the Credentialing Verification Office (CVO). We’ve created this dedicated CVO to provide comprehensive credentialing services, supporting privileging and enrollment activities that ensure best practice across the system. The CVO works closely with local Orlando Health Medical Staff Offices and is the primary source for provider credentialing and recredentialing.
Orlando Health places a priority on its providers as valued members of our team. We’ve created this dedicated CVO to provide comprehensive credentialing services in an efficient and timely way that respects our providers’ time as it ensures quality care through our facilities.
The CVO complies with standards of The Joint Commission (TJC), the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Medical Staff Bylaws, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
To initiate the credentialing process, you will need to submit an Interest Form. Please email [email protected] to obtain the Interest Form.
Reappointment is the credentialing verification process of re-evaluating a providers’ current competency after they have been appointed to the medical or professional staff at Orlando Health. The reappointment process supports The Joint Commission’s accreditation standards which require all providers to complete a reappointment process every 24 months.
The Reappointment process requires that providers complete a standard reappointment application and review their profile within the Orlando Health provider database.
MD-Staff is a cloud-based service that helps Orlando Health to streamline the credentialing process, utilizing an easy-to-use app called MD-App. This app will allow you to submit your information electronically.
