The Diversity Council seeks events and opportunities to encourage diversity among residency and fellowship candidates for the Orlando Health Graduate Medical Education programs. Connecting with applicants through recruitment and outreach events provides us with the opportunity to share information about the programs and our diversity and inclusion efforts.  We do this through a variety of ways including:

Conference Attendance

Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA) National Conference
Represents, supports, educates, and unifies medical trainees, especially those who identify as Hispanic or Latina/o/x

Student National Medical Association (SNMA) National Conference
Committed to supporting current and future underrepresented minority medical students

Visiting Medical Student Grants

Timeframe: Offered throughout the year

Overview: Provide funding to our residency programs to offer grants to visiting URM medical students

Virtual Open House

Timeframe: September

Overview: Prospective applicants can learn more about our Diversity Council and residency programs and meet Diversity Council representatives.
