Educational Program
Educational Principles:
- 1. Neonatology demands a pursuit of lifelong learning by both trainees and attending physicians. Continued clinical excellence requires a joint search for learning by committed teachers and engaged, proactive learners.
- 2. The goal of Neonatology fellowship is, at its core, transformative. Over three years of training, Fellows should have a supported but ultimately self-motivated experience that leads to their transformation into an independent, self-directed attending Neonatologist.
- 3. Neonatology fellows are adult learners who have the right and responsibility to envision and create their own future career goals. From the outset, fellows should have the opportunity to explore areas of interest to them and to guide their own learning priorities.
- 4. Each fellow is responsible in the last analysis for their own education.
