Program Director's Welcome

Welcome to the Surgical Critical Care Program at Orlando Health.

Our program has been in existence since 1997, is ACGME Accredited, and has recently expanded from two to three fellow positions annually. The clinical experience obtained at Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center (OHORMC) is excellent. With over 6000 trauma admissions and 3000 ICU admissions annually, OHORMC is the busiest Level I trauma center in the third most populous state in the U.S.

In addition to the vast clinical experience, our fellowship has a robust professional development curriculum. Significant time is spent actively participating in multiple committees including Trauma Quality, Critical Care Committee, and the ICU quality committee in order to prepare for future leadership responsibilities.

Graduates of our program consistently obtain positions at highly respected trauma centers across the nation. Most remain involved with surgical training throughout their careers, and many have obtained leadership positions within their organizations.
