The Orlando Health Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging Fellowship Program provides fellows with a comprehensive curriculum of clinical, academic and research experiences to include:

Level III Training in cardiac CT and MRI, and structural interventional echocardiography

Additional training opportunities, including:

  • Echocardiography and nuclear cardiology
  • CT FFR, MR mapping and 3D printing
    • Advanced echocardiography (3D analysis, strain)
    • Nuclear imaging  (SPECT, PET)
    • Plaque analysis (HeartFlow)
    • Vascular imaging
    • Working with pediatric cardiac imagers
    • Working with radiology (TAVR)

Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center

With 808 acute care beds, Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC) is among the largest acute care facilities in the region and serves as one of Florida’s six major teaching hospitals. Located in downtown Orlando, it has continuously served Central Florida since its founding in 1918.

Orlando Health ORMC provides expertise in numerous specialties, including cardiovascular, digestive health, neurosciences, oncology, orthopedics and trauma. The hospital is recognized for excellence with an American Burn Association Verified Burn Center and Joint Commission program certifications in hip and knee joint replacement, spine surgery and comprehensive stroke. It is Central Florida’s only Level I Trauma Center, and the only hospital in the area licensed for emergency air transport.

Exemplary care efforts have consistently earned Orlando Health ORMC quality and safety recognitions, including Best Regional Hospital rankings from U.S. News & World as well as a fourth consecutive Top Teaching Hospital and a seventh consecutive “A” Hospital Safety Grade from the patient safety advocates at The Leapfrog Group.

Orlando Health Heart and Vascular Institute

Orlando Health Heart and Vascular Institute (OHHVI) is located on the main Orlando Health campus in Orlando, Florida, directly across from Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center. Providing care in over 40 areas of specialty, the institute is made up of a team of expert cardiovascular professionals collaborating to create better patient outcomes. Integrated programs and services enable multidisciplinary care designed to meet the patient’s cardiac needs, from wellness services, imaging and rehabilitation to minor and complex surgery. Along with a centralized downtown campus location, the institute provides care at more than 20 practice sites spanning Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Lake, Highlands and Okeechobee counties.

That commitment to excellence has earned Orlando Health facilities and programs numerous awards and accreditations, including national distinction with a top 50 ranking in Cardiology, Heart & Vascular Surgery from U.S. News & World Report, highest 3-star rating in two adult cardiac surgeries from the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, accreditation in several imaging and intervention-based procedure modalities from the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission, advanced comprehensive stroke center and primary stroke center certifications from The Joint Commission, and recognition for providing lifesaving stroke care from the American Heart Association.
