In this role, Khayat will be responsible for the operations of the hospital. Orlando Health has officially opened The Marjorie and Leonard Williams Center for Proton Therapy, bringing state-of-the-art cancer treatment options to those battling cancer in Central Florida. The center, the first to offer proton therapy treatments in Central Florida, joins an elite group of proton therapy centers around the world. It is the third pro-ton therapy center to open in the state of Florida and only the 23rd in the nation. Currently there are 67 proton therapy centers worldwide.

Orlando, FL (January 17, 2020) – Local high school students added important tools to their medical kits. More than 450 students from Boone High School’s Academy of Health Science, and Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps participated in hands-on training in bleeding control, distracted driving prevention, and burn safety. The full day of learning on January 14 was part of a community outreach event by Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma (EAST), Orlando Health, and Orange County Public Schools. EAST hosted its 33^rd Annual Scientific Assembly this week in Orlando.

Orlando, Fla. (November 17, 2022) – The Orlando Health corporate sign that became a place of reflection and remembrance to honor the 49 people killed during the Pulse nightclub tragedy on June 12, 2016, will become part of the collection of the National Pulse Memorial & Museum. The prominently positioned sign, located adjacent to Lake Beauty on the southwest corner of Orange Avenue and Miller Street on Orlando Health’s downtown campus will be donated to the onePULSE Foundation. A special conveyance ceremony is scheduled for 10 am Thursday, November 17, 2022. The ceremony will culminate with the deconstruction of the prominent sign.
