In addition to two emergency rooms serving residents of northeast Polk County, Orlando Health is also continuing to expand access to primary and specialty care offerings in the area. Upcoming openings of a new hospital in Lakeland (summer 2026) and freestanding emergency room in North Lakeland (fall 2026) will further strengthen this commitment by bringing even more comprehensive, high-quality care closer to home. The new hospital in Lakeland will enhance access to advanced inpatient and specialty services, while the North Lakeland freestanding emergency room will provide convenient, around-the-clock emergency care for growing communities. Together, these investments reflect Orlando Health’s ongoing dedication to meeting the region’s evolving healthcare needs and ensuring residents have seamless access to coordinated care across the continuum.
