As associate chief nursing officer at Orlando Health Advanced Rehabilitation Institute, Wendy Cooper is passionate about mentoring and developing future healthcare leaders, while fostering a culture of safety, compassion and accountability.
Wendy began her career with Orlando Health in 2011 as a graduate nurse at Lucerne Hospital. She embarked on her leadership journey in 2014, holding progressive leadership positions in the Surgical Oncology Unit at Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC) as assistant nurse manager, nursing operations manager and inpatient director of nursing. Most recently, Wendy served as administrative director of nursing operations for Hospital Care at Home, where she was instrumental in launching the program — the first in Central Florida — at Orlando Health.
Wendy earned a bachelor’s in nursing from Remington College of Nursing in Lake Mary, Florida, and a master’s in nursing – nurse administrator from South University in Savannah, Georgia. Wendy also completed the Orlando Health Emerging Leader Program and Orlando Health/Rollins College Advanced Leader Program.
