Our visitation policy is open, without specific hours, so families can support their loved ones. The Emergency Department does limit visitors to 2 per patient.
Illness and hospitalization can bring uncertainty, stress, and difficult questions. Our board-certified and professionally trained chaplains provide compassionate spiritual and emotional support for patients, families, loved ones, visitors, and team members.
We honor each person’s beliefs, values, culture, and life story. Whether you identify with a faith tradition, another spiritual path, or no religious affiliation, we are here to support you with dignity, respect, and compassion.
Chaplains are available in-person Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. They will be on call after 5:00 pm to respond to emergent needs.
Our Chaplains can assist with:
- Emotional and spiritual support during illness, hospitalization, or crisis
- Compassionate listening and confidential conversation
- Prayer, blessings, sacraments, and religious rituals upon request
- Grief and bereavement support
- Family meetings and difficult decision-making
- Contacting clergy or faith community representatives
- Advance Directives and Health Care Surrogate information
- Supporting communication between patients, families, and the healthcare team
- Providing comfort, hope, peace, and meaning during challenging times
