Bayfront Health St. Petersburg names Becker to Community Relations Role
St. Petersburg, FL – (July 28, 2021) – Bayfront Hospital St. Petersburg today announced that Bari Becker, a familiar face in the Tampa Bay area, has been named as the Community Relations Manager for the historic 480-bed hospital.
“We are excited to have Bari join our team,” said Bayfront Health St. Petersburg President John Moore. “She knows the community and she understands how to strengthen the relationships we have with our stakeholders. The hospital’s impact will continue to grow as Bari cultivates new relationships with community members.
“I am so happy and grateful for this opportunity,” said Becker. “There are so many things we want to do to enhance Bayfront Health St. Petersburg’s relationship with the communities we serve. Bayfront Health St. Petersburg is really putting the human and capital resources into making this effort succeed.”
Becker lists three initiatives as her top priorities. First, Becker will look to partner and amplify the messaging of local nonprofit organizations that are increasing public awareness about certain health conditions. From there, Becker will work with local organizations that strive to close health equity gaps in the region. And finally, “We want to help lift up and support the greater St. Petersburg area. This includes South St. Petersburg, which has been home to Bayfront Health St. Peterburg for more than a century.”
Becker comes to this role with more than 14 years of experience in fundraising and community engagement experience in the Tampa Bay Region. Most recently, she was the annual giving manager for Step Up for Students in Clearwater and before that was the development manager for the Florida Gulf Coast Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. A proud graduate of the University of Central Florida, Becker earned her master’s degree in nonprofit management, a graduate certificate in Professional Fundraising and her bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management.
