Orlando Health names Vice President of Ambulatory Surgery Centers

Orlando, FL (February 28, 2023) Orlando Health has hired Colleen Heeter as vice president of ambulatory surgery centers (ASC.)

In her new role, Ms. Heeter will manage the Orlando Health ASC division. Her goal is to improve the clinical experience of staff and physicians, enhance the patient experience, increase quality outcomes and reduce costs.

“Colleen comes to Orlando Health with a wealth of experience in the development and operation of ambulatory surgery centers,” said Greg Ohe, senior vice president of Orlando Health ambulatory services. “Her leadership will be critical as Orlando Health looks to grow the number of ambulatory surgery centers across Florida and the southeastern United States.”

Ms. Heeter previously worked as chief executive officer and chief operating officer for Campbell County Health. She was also regional executive director for Prime Healthcare in Kansas City, Missouri and vice president of operations for Surgical Care Affiliates, a nationwide provider of outpatient surgery centers.  

Ms. Heeter earned a bachelor of science in nursing from Creighton University and a master of business administration from University of Phoenix.

She began her new role at Orlando Health in October 2022.
