Orlando Health Wins Advisory Board Workplace of the Year Award
On March 30, Orlando Health was honored with the Advisory Board Company’s 2017
Workplace of the Year award, an annual distinction that recognizes hospitals and
health systems nationwide that have outstanding levels of employee engagement.
The Advisory Board, the administrator of our annual Team Member
Engagement Survey, selected Orlando Health as one of 20 award recipients for
having the highest percentage of engaged team members during the 2016 survey
year.
“During our last engagement survey, overall Orlando Health scored
in the 84th percentile nationally,” says Nancy Dinon, vice president, Human
Resources. “We were extremely proud to see such an outstanding score and
thrilled to receive this award in recognition of our team’s high level of
engagement.”
Engaged employees, as defined by The Advisory Board
Company, are those who exhibit both loyalty and commitment to the organization.
These team members are willing to expend discretionary effort, often going above
and beyond to help the organization succeed. The award recognizes Orlando
Health’s commitment to creating a best-in-class work environment for its team
members.
“Your participation and feedback during our engagement surveys
and other surveys like AHRQ Safety Culture survey and the Best Places to Work in
Healthcare survey are very important,” says Nancy. “The information these
surveys provide allows us to further assess our strengths and opportunities, and
helps us achieve our goal of becoming a best place to work!”
