Orlando, FL – October 9, 2015 – Panera Bread Pink Ribbon Bagels® are a staple here in Central Florida every October, raising awareness and valuable dollars to fight breast cancer. All month long a portion of each bagel sale helps to fund cancer programs at UF Health Cancer Center – Orlando Health and TODAY 100% of sales from Pink Ribbon Bagels® will support these cancer programs.
Panera Bread is celebrating 14 years of fighting breast cancer by baking bagels and over the years has raised $297,000 for UF Health Cancer Center- Orlando Health.
For the fifth year in a row, the signature Pink Ribbon Bagels® are being sold at all of Panera Bread’s approximately 1,500 bakery-cafes nationwide and in Canada, with a portion of the proceeds from each bagel sold going to a variety of breast cancer causes throughout the country. Donations from the sale of the Pink Ribbon Bagel® have now raised more than $1 million for breast cancer charities and Panera Bread and its franchisees hope to make 2015 the largest year for donations ever.
The Panera Bread Pink Ribbon Bagel® , baked fresh daily, features cherry chips, dried cherries and cranberries, vanilla, honey and brown sugar and is in the shape of the breast cancer awareness Pink Ribbon. The product follows the tradition of ‘thinking pink’ during the month of October in the quest to eradicate breast cancer disease.
