Orlando, FL (November 8, 2023) Summerport Surgery Center, an affiliate of Orlando Health, has been recognized on Newsweek’s list of America’s Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers 2024. This award is presented by Newsweek and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider.

“Earning this recognition underscores our commitment to providing high-quality patient care,” said Neil Mangus, senior director of business development, ambulatory surgery centers, Orlando Health. “We are proud of the team at Summerport Surgery Center and their patient-centered approach to serving the Central Florida community.”

The America’s Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers 2024 list awards the leading ambulatory surgery centers in the United States based on quality of care, performance data and peer recommendations, relative to in-state competition.

Included ambulatory surgery centers operate exclusively for the purpose of providing surgical services to patients not requiring hospitalization and in which expected duration of services would not exceed 24 hours following an admission.

The 25 states with the most facilities, according to the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, were surveyed individually. The remaining states were grouped into four regions. Ambulatory surgery centers from these states were considered accordingly.

This research and analysis service is based on the success of statista.com, the leading data and business intelligence portal that provides statistics, business relevant data, and various market and consumer studies and surveys.

The awards list was announced on October 18th, 2023, and can currently be viewed on Newsweek’s website.
